1/ Project purpose: To award scholarships that support and encourage high-achieving students from families in difficult circumstances in remote areas to stay in school, pursue their dreams, change their future and become useful members of society.

2/ Project goals: Each year, at least 10 students will receive regular scholarships (the value of each scholarship depends on the student's costs for that school year: tuition, books, notebooks, pens, a bicycle…). In addition, at least 3 run-down schools in remote areas will be repainted and repaired.

3/ Eligibility and beneficiaries:

+ Students from poor families, orphans, etc., who do not yet receive any support from the state or other organizations.

+ Students who love learning and do well, with at least an “Advanced” academic rating, attend school regularly, and are recognized by their teachers and school as diligent and deserving of a scholarship.

+ Only one child per family may receive a scholarship.

+ Each student is sponsored by a Y Tam member, who shares with them and encourages them to study even better.

+ Y Tam will work regularly with the school and homeroom teachers to follow each student's progress. If a student keeps up their results and the family is still in hardship, the scholarship will continue in the following years. If a student drops out, their results decline, or the family becomes better off, the scholarship will be withdrawn and given to another student.

+ For schools: located in remote areas, run-down, lacking teaching equipment and without funding for repairs.

4/ Implementation:

+ In the first year, we will verify 7 to 10 primary school students (grades 1 to 5) who are eligible for a Y Tam scholarship. In the following years, the program will expand to lower and upper secondary school, increase the number of students, and gradually spread to remote districts across the country.

+ Each year, students will be reviewed and scholarships awarded at the end of August or the beginning of September.

5/ Funding: Y Tam will regularly organize programs and events to call on businesses and donors to contribute. In addition, members will run small businesses together to raise funds. The fund will grow each year according to need and the number of students.

All contributions to the fund can be sent to:
