Following the success of the first Y Tam Kitchen program, with  200 meals delivered by hand to people in difficult and less fortunate circumstances, and realizing that what we share is still so small compared with the many lives lived far from home, we decided to hold the second Y Tam Kitchen  program on Sunday morning, 13/12/2015.

We plan to once again cook and hand out 200 lunches to poor workers, homeless people, people with disabilities….

The sight of our volunteers wholeheartedly sending their love and empathy to everyone is what motivates us to keep running the program as a long-term plan.

So that people living in hardship do not feel hesitant or embarrassed about receiving something completely free, we encourage them to give whatever they wish, perhaps just 1, 2 or 5 thousand VND. That money is simply a way of sharing affection and love, and they themselves choose to place “that kindness” into the fundraising box “SHARING RICE”. This fund will be used to buy rice for the next Y Tam Kitchen program; in its own way, it is also a means of passing love from person to person.

I/ Schedule:

1/ Time:

– 4-6 a.m., Sunday 13/12/2015: Y Tam members will go to the wholesale market themselves to buy ingredients for the kitchen:

+ 6-8 a.m.: prepare the ingredients and kitchen equipment.

+ 8-10 a.m.: cook the food

+ 10 a.m.: pack the meals into boxes.

+ 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.: the meals will be taken to the distribution points.

II/ Joining the program:

Y Tam always welcomes the volunteer spirit of our members and volunteers. Besides working together and sharing with the poor, this is also a chance to make new friends :)) and learn from one another.
