Final Report on the Highland Spring Festival Program 14-15/1/2017

Dear businesses, donors and all Y Tam members and volunteers,

 

The Highland Spring Festival held on 14-15/1/2017 was truly more successful than we had expected.

In just 48 hours, we and nearly 30 volunteers completed the following work:

 

– Repainted and repaired Pa Pếch Primary School

– Held a vibrant spring festival day with 14 food stalls and folk games

– Wrapped more than 140 rolls of bánh tét (sticky rice cakes) to give to the villagers

– Cooked 250 bowls of bánh canh noodle soup for the ethnic minority children who came to the spring festival

– Gave 69 Tết (Lunar New Year) gift packs to ethnic minority households in hardship

– Gave 181 gift packs of school supplies + cakes and sweets to students at 4 school sites in Tân Hưng commune, Đồng Phú

 

And above all, we could not count all the smiles and the happiness of the villagers and children here. There were simply too many!

REMAINING BALANCE: 422,200 VND

We will use the remaining money in Y Tam's upcoming volunteer programs
