The lanterns have been lit, and the event launching the Y Tam education support project for the 2017-2018 school year was a complete success. Y Tam accomplished its mission:

– Gave scholarship funds to the 11 students we are sponsoring
– Gave 220 gift packs of school supplies to the children at Đồng Tiến B Primary School
– Gave rice to 30 ethnic minority households in especially difficult circumstances
– Held a moonlit lantern procession, a campfire and a Mid-Autumn Festival for more than 200 ethnic minority children.

The education support fund is used throughout each school year to help ethnic minority children afford to go to school. That is why the fund accepts donations on an ongoing basis, and Y Tam very much hopes to keep having the companionship of donors near and far.
