Cold weather, warm hearts
Y Tam still remembers meeting the villagers in Lộc Ninh and in Quảng Hải and asking them a question: if you could choose between a sack of rice and a sack of seeds, which would you choose?
All the villagers in both communes gave the same answer: seeds.
When the floods came, the seeds people had stored got damp, went moldy and were ruined. After the floods, as a new season began, the villagers could not afford to buy seeds again, while in reality many relief groups had already brought rice and noodles; in some places there was even a surplus. The answer "seeds" reflected the most real and pressing need of people in the flooded areas at that time.
So after a period of waiting for the seeds to arrive from the seed research center, today Y Tam, on behalf of our donors, gave more than 200 gift packs of peanut seeds to struggling households that suffered heavy losses in the recent floods in Phúc Trạch, Quảng Bình.
The villagers have already finished plowing their fields, but the soil is still too wet to sow. They are waiting for the weather to warm up so they can sow their seeds and start the coming winter-spring crop.
Y Tam wishes the villagers a bumper harvest beyond their expectations. Y Tam will always keep watch over them and stand by them
❤️
On behalf of the villagers, Y Tam sincerely thanks donors near and far for their generous, caring hearts, and wishes you all a peaceful Christmas and a happy, warm New Year
❤️
Sincerely
Y Tam Organization
