Come on in and pick out some clothes to wear, everyone.. There are lots of them and they're really nice, clothes from Saigon….
After those excited calls back and forth, we saw the villagers come over one after another to pick out the outfits that suited them… Everyone was eager and delighted.
The villagers say clothes are clothes: they are for keeping warm and for wearing to the fields to keep off the thorns and grass, so why do they need to be new, pretty, bright or flashy? And yet, among the clothes Y Tam brought to the villagers in Bình Phước during the Highland Spring Festival program, they could not stop praising what they found. Beaming, they picked, chose and slung clothes over their shoulders, saying breathlessly: “These are so pretty! I'll take this outfit for going to feasts, this one for the village festival, this one for working the cassava fields, this one for picking cashews….”. The atmosphere was so joyful and lively….

Meanwhile, the children also crowded in, in little groups, choosing clothes for one another. Every now and then we heard: “Wear this one and be a princess, H’ Ple, these pants are superhero ones, K’Bang…. hey Siu Long, you can wear these pants to school… Oh, there's a teddy bear here too… I love it so much, you guys…”

Yes, and to keep that joy going, Y Tam is continuing to collect donated clothes for ethnic minority villagers in Đạ Nhar – Quốc Oai – Đạ Tẻ – Lâm Đồng. Y Tam also has a few words for you:
– Because the program has to be prepared in a hurry and our student volunteers are in the middle of exams, they have very little time to sort the clothes. So when you donate, please fold the clothes neatly and make sure they are clean; besides, doing so shows respect for our fellow villagers, hihihi… After all, how you give matters more than what you give
Clothes collection period: 20-25/5/2017
Y Tam office: No. X1, CMT8 Apartment Complex, Ward 12, Thép Mới Street, Tân Bình District. (If you are too busy to bring them to the office, you can contact the Y Tam fanpage and Y Tam will ask volunteers to come and pick them up…)
Thank you to our donors and volunteers for following every step Y Tam has taken recently. Y Tam always hopes to receive the support and contributions of kind hearts near and far for the upcoming program.
