Exactly one full year later, we returned to visit families in hardship in Đức Linh, Bình Thuận.
Over the past year, although we kept bringing rice to the villagers regularly, we only handed it out at one central location where people came to collect it, rather than going to each household.

When Từ Quang Pagoda kindly donated 700 kg of rice, we decided to deliver it directly to each household, so that we could hand out rice and at the same time check in on each family in hardship.

We divided the rice into 20 kg bags, loaded them onto a three-wheeled cart, and carried them directly to each household. They are elderly people living alone, people with disabilities, people with mental illness… none of them are able to work anymore…

A lot can change in a year: some of the elderly have passed away, some have fallen ill and grown weaker. But we were so happy to see them again, every hug and every handshake warm and heartfelt….

We, the members of the Y Tam family, keep pressing on along every stage of our volunteer journey. However hard it gets, we push through just to bring a smile to the faces of the poor. Sometimes happiness is that simple…

We took 2,300,000 VND from the Y Tam fund to rent a truck to carry the rice from Ho Chi Minh City to Đức Linh, and 300,000 VND to rent a three-wheeled cart to deliver the rice to the villagers. Total: 2,300,000 VND
