Yesterday afternoon (5/8), Y Tam received news that a whirlwind from Storm No. 2 had brought down the home of Mr. Tuấn and Ms. Dung in Phương Thạnh hamlet, Phương Phú commune, Phụng Hiệp district – Hậu Giang. Ms. Nguyệt Đình Khôi set off at once on behalf of Y Tam and arrived at the house this morning.
Ms. Dung is more than 6 months pregnant, and Mr. Tuấn suffers from liver and lung disease. His health is too poor for him to work as a hired laborer, so each day they live on whatever fish he manages to catch.

Their thatched house was knocked down by the whirlwind 4 days ago. With nowhere to shelter, they put up plastic tarp walls to live in for the time being.
Seeing their situation, Y Tam could not help but feel heartbroken. She is pregnant and close to giving birth; luckily, no one was hurt when the house collapsed.
But the risks remain: if anything happened, it would affect both her and the baby. So this very morning, Y Tam helped find her a temporary place to stay with another family, while he will stay behind to help build the house.
Natural disasters are risks that cannot be foreseen, and it has been raining nonstop in Hậu Giang these past days, so Y Tam wants to hurry and help them have a house to live in, so that when she gives birth she will have a cozy home and both mother and baby will be safe and well.
After 10 days of construction, Y Tam has finished the house for the family of Mr. Tuấn and Ms. Dung (she is now nearly 7 months pregnant) in Phương Phú commune, Phụng Hiệp, Hậu Giang.
Because the land here is prone to subsidence, Y Tam built up and raised the foundation by 1m. Above it, the house is built very solidly with steel and metal sheets.
– Y Tam built them a bedroom and a kitchen lean-to at the back for cooking.
– All the labor was volunteered by local people.
The total cost of materials to build the house was 44 million VND.
– The whole floor is laid with clean patterned tiles.
From now on, Ms. Dung's family has a new house that is spacious, safe and cozy.
She will give birth soon, and the house will truly mean so much to her and her baby❤️❤️❤️
Y Tam sincerely thanks our donors and friends❤️
Sincerely!
