Child sexual abuse has been happening in many countries around the world and has become a painful issue in recent years. Sexual abuse often causes children serious and lasting harm in many ways: psychological and physical, to their health, and to their lives both now and in the future.
Recognizing that equipping children with skills for preventing child sexual abuse was an urgent need, helping them protect themselves from the clutches of predators and grow up safely => Y Tam organized an awareness session, “Preventing Child Sexual Abuse”, held at Thánh Tâm Children's Home
In a warm atmosphere at 6 p.m. on 17/12/2017, the session was full of fun and energy, bringing together more than 30 children, 5 educators from the home and more than 10 volunteers from Y Tam.

Basic knowledge for keeping their bodies safe, along with situations that often happen in daily life, such as what a child should do when someone offers them a sweet, what to do when a stranger claims to be a relative come to pick them up from school, and who is allowed to touch a child's body…, were acted out by Y Tam in the simplest, easiest-to-understand way, helping the children take it in easily so they can protect themselves.
The children eagerly spoke up and answered questions on the topic

In addition, Y Tam also held a December birthday party for the children there. Performances by the Y Tam volunteers and lively dances by the children of the home made the atmosphere even more joyful and exciting

Y Tam sincerely thanks the Child Rights Governance Network for sponsoring us to carry out this meaningful program. Thank you to the Sisters and the educators at the home for supporting Y Tam. At the same time, Y Tam would also like to sincerely thank the donors, benefactors and volunteers who followed and accompanied Y Tam throughout the program
Sincerely.
