The air turns colder, the wind grows stronger by the day, and the sunshine has paled, losing the dazzling brightness of the early season….

The streets grow more crowded and people get busier; everyone rushes to finish whatever work is left so they can quickly get ready for the days leading up to Tết. Everyone is hurrying and bustling about, tidying up; buses and cars carry people home to their families and then hurry back for the next trips.

People link arms and walk hand in hand to “the ends of the sky,” savoring the first chill of the season, or perhaps simply feeling the calluses in each other's hands. But even just that is warm enough.
And the last days of the year…
Out there, the cold wind chills people to the bone, and the year-end rush adds to their worries: the last harvest was poor, so what will this Tết be like?
Perhaps, having once been in the same situation, people come to feel more for one another?
Understanding these feelings, on Saturday, 30/1/2016, Y Tam will travel to the Châu Ro community in Đức Linh, Bình Thuận, bringing 120 Tết gifts for 120 poor families there.
Each gift is expected to include: rice + cooking oil + MSG + sugar.
Estimated total budget: 30 million VND
II/ Trip schedule:
1/ Time:
– Friday evening, 29/1: 7 p.m.: Y Tam members gather at the Y Tam house
+ 7:30 p.m.: depart
+ 10:30 p.m.: arrive in Đức Linh – Bình Thuận
– 30/1
+ 5 a.m.: wake up to meet the truck, weigh the rice and divide it among 3 distribution points:
+ 8 a.m.: hand out gifts to villagers in Nam Hà commune, Đức Linh, Bình Thuận
+ 10 a.m.: hand out gifts to villagers in Trà Tân commune, Đức Linh, Bình Thuận
+ 1 p.m.: hand out gifts to villagers in Võ Đắc
Expected return to Saigon: 4 p.m.
