Yang Mao - Spring is here!
On a chilly early morning, Yang Mao looks like a beautiful painting. Mist covers the mountains, and the wooden stilt houses perched on the hills keep their doors shut against the wind. The little path through the village is lined on both sides with wildflowers in shades of purple and yellow. Adults and children rub their hands together for warmth. A little warmth of spring!
Yang Mao, Y Tam is coming soon to welcome a spring full of excitement with you!
I/ PURPOSE AND MEANING
Y Tam has chosen to return to Yang Mao in spring, bringing together the colors and scents of nature with the warmth of human hearts to create a beautiful spring in this remote highland region.
That day will be a very important one: Y Tam will hold the inauguration and handover ceremony for the Clean Water for Tar Village project after 4 months of work, and the villagers will hold a water offering ceremony, a custom of the M’Nông people, to celebrate clean water coming to the village together with Y Tam.
On this occasion, Y Tam also wants to hold a vibrant spring festival for the villagers and children of Yang Mao to enjoy. It is also a chance for volunteers to leave the city and experience a very different spring in a faraway place.
Time: 11-12/1/2020 (solar calendar), corresponding to 17,18/12/2019 (lunar calendar)
Location: Tar village, Yang Mao commune, Krông Bông, Đăk Lăk
