Y Tam Kitchen: Sharing Rice Program, Round 4

As announced earlier, this Sunday (17.01.2016) the Y Tam Kitchen: Sharing Rice program, round 4, will continue.

This time, the program is again setting aside 50 meals for the orphaned and disabled children at Thánh Tâm shelter.

However, unlike last time, Y Tam will give the remaining 100 meals to poor patients at Phạm Ngọc Thạch Hospital, in the hope that this small act of sharing will give them more strength to bear the pain they carry and keep fighting their illness, to win back their right to live healthy, happy lives.

I/ Schedule:

1/ Time:

– 4am-6am on Sunday 17.01.2016: Y Tam members will go to the wholesale market themselves to buy ingredients for the kitchen:

+ 6am-8am: prepare the ingredients and get the kitchen equipment ready.

+ 8am-10am: cook the food.

+ 10am: pack the meals into boxes.

+ 10:30am – 11:30am: the meals will be taken to the distribution points.

II/ Joining the Program:

Y Tam always welcomes the volunteer spirit of our members and volunteers. Besides joining hands to share with people in need, this is also a chance to make new friends :)) and to connect with and learn from one another.
