Our steps as builder's helpers
Because the place where we stayed was a quiet country pagoda, surrounded by mountains and a river, trees and flowers, a truly charming landscape
After work, we went down to the riverbank and sat on a rock under an ancient tree, watching the evening light fall
The riverside scenery
feeling the breeze slip through our hair
A panoramic view from the mountaintop
Over cups of fragrant tea, under the bright moon and countless twinkling stars, we told each other stories and wrote poems about life and about the spiritual path.
The moon wanes and then grows full again. It is the same with us: no one is perfect, and we need time to be polished and to grow…
Enjoying the beauty of the moonlight woven through every story made us forget our everyday phones. We immersed ourselves in each of those wonderful moments and shared more with one another…
Saying goodbye to the moonlight, the next morning we woke up very early to climb to the mountaintop and meditate. We experienced moments of quiet meditation, observing each breath and feeling more deeply the sounds of nature, of heaven and earth: birds singing, cicadas chirping, the smell of burning grass…
Breathing meditation before sunrise
Sitting and watching the sun rise
All our senses opened up after those minutes of quiet meditation. We sat together and watched the dawn, and at that moment it felt as if energy was flowing into every one of us, leaving us both refreshed and at peace.
Then we tried eating vegetarian food together and discovered that vegetarian dishes are just as delicious as dishes with meat; of course, no one stopped until they were completely full.
We know that 2 days was not long enough for such a journey, but it was enough for us to feel the full meaning of the trip.
