Summary Report: Highland Spring Festival 2018 – Đăk Nông

Dear businesses, donors and all Y Tam members and volunteers

On 2-3/2/2018, Y Tam held the Highland Spring Festival, a success beyond all expectations, for the villagers and children of Phi Lơ Te village, Đăk Ngo commune, Tuy Đức, Đăk Nông

In just 2 days, with 55 volunteers, we completed the following activities:

– Painted and repaired 1 primary school with 4 classrooms and 2 kindergartens with 6 classrooms

– Wrapped and cooked more than 200 rolls of bánh tét (sticky rice cakes) for the villagers

– Played games and held a campfire with 300 children

– Held a spring fair with more than 10 food and folk game stalls

– Gave 120 Tết (Lunar New Year) gift packages, each including 10 kg of rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, sugar, soy sauce and bánh tét, to the families of primary and kindergarten students in hardship in the village

Y Tam also created a space for learning, bonding and sharing for the volunteers and the sponsors who accompanied the program.
