Radiant Lanterns 2020 – Tánh Linh, Bình Thuận

“Every lantern that was lit came with innocent, carefree laughter that warmed our hearts. Even though it rained outside and our clothes got muddy, it will always be a beautiful memory, a ticket back to childhood” – Minh shared

Watching the lanterns made from cans light up, shimmering and glowing brightly under a sky with no electric light, the children were thrilled and the Y Tam volunteers were deeply moved. All the effort of the past days had been for this very moment: the moment the lanterns were lit under the moonlit night!

Even though it started to rain halfway through that night, for Y Tam and the children it was a memorable, one-of-a-kind Mid-Autumn night.

Looking back on the 2 days of 3-4/10/2020, Y Tam brought the children of Huy Khiêm these gifts:

– More than 400 lanterns made from beer cans, handmade by the Y Tam volunteers

– 400 pairs of shoes and sandals sponsored by Biti's

– 200 school backpacks sponsored by the Korean Chamber of Commerce KOCHAM

– 600 gift packs of snacks, candy and milk

– 400 sets of school supplies, including blank notebooks + ballpoint pens + pencils

– New and used clothes donated by our donors

Besides the gifts for the children, Y Tam also brought 50 gift packages, each containing 10kg + 1 case of Korean noodles sponsored by the Korean company OTTOGI VIET NAM.

The Lantern Festival 2020 program came to a close amid everyone's joy and excitement. Y Tam would like to express our deep gratitude to our donors, the businesses and all of you who supported the children and villagers of Huy Khiêm with both cash and in-kind donations.

Thank you to the Y Tam volunteers for the tremendous effort you put into this charity journey

Thank you to the local leaders, the commune youth union members and the teachers of Huy Khiêm Primary School for helping Y Tam carry out the program.

Finally, Y Tam wishes you all good health and peace in everything ❤

Sincerely
