Here's the story: after finishing the Solar Lights for Villages project, Y Tam had a few materials left over and asked the villagers whether they would like to use them for anything in the village. Mr. Vương, head of Ea Hăn village, suggested using them to repair the village bridge, which had sunk and partly collapsed and was very dangerous every time people crossed it, especially at night!
Seeing that this was urgent and truly needed, Y Tam talked it over with the villagers and we got to work together right away!
In just over half a day, with Y Tam providing technical guidance on the repairs and the villagers, young men, children and women alike, pitching in enthusiastically, the bridge was finished. It was so moving: the little ones went down to the stream together to gather stones, the young men hauled materials, borrowed tools to drill rock and cut iron, and drove a tractor to buy more sand, iron…
However hard things are, when the villagers join forces with one heart, everything gets sorted out easily, smoothly and quickly!
– This trip killed two birds with one stone: we completed the Solar Lights for Villages project and helped the villagers repair their bridge. Y Tam is overjoyed, and so are the villagers, so very happy, everyone❤️
